EC Publishes EUDAMED Implementation Timeline

The European Commission (EC) published a timeline with targeted dates for the complete implementation of  EUDAMED. Currently, three of the six EUDAMED modules are available for voluntary use (the Actor Registration, UDI/Device Registration, and Notified Bodies and Certificates Modules). 

The EC projects that EUDAMED will be fully functional by Q2 2023; and at that time the 24 month transitional period will begin. EUDAMED submissions become mandatory after the 24 month transitional period, which is estimated to end in Q2 2025.
